Expertise

Your case runs in Türkiye. You stay where you are.

Two decades before the Istanbul courts, acting in commercial and civil disputes for companies and individuals who are rarely in the country.

What we handle

Commercial contract disputes

Supply, distribution, services and joint-venture agreements — claims for payment, defective performance and wrongful termination. Before filing, we establish what your contract actually secures.

Debt enforcement and collection

Enforcement proceedings with or without a judgment, attachment, forced sale and bankruptcy routes. We trace the debtor's Turkish assets first and choose the route that pays fastest.

Interim injunctions and asset freezes

Emergency measures that stop a property being sold, an account emptied or a shareholding transferred while the case is still running.

Appeals

Review before the regional courts of appeal and the Court of Cassation, with a candid assessment of prospects rather than an automatic appeal.

Questions

Common questions

Do I have to attend hearings?

As a rule, no. With a power of attorney granted at a Turkish consulate we attend hearings and make submissions on your behalf. Only in the limited situations where the court must hear you personally — as happens in some family matters — is your attendance required, and we tell you at the outset if your case is one of them.

How long does litigation take?

It depends on the court's caseload and the nature of the dispute. Enforcement proceedings are measured in months; commercial cases usually in years, with the appeal stage on top. After reviewing your file we give the realistic range we see in comparable matters. Treat any lawyer who promises a fixed timetable with caution.

Will you take a case you think is weak?

No. If our review says the matter is not worth pursuing, we say so plainly and, where possible, propose settlement or mediation instead. Filing a case we expect to lose spends the client's money and years for nothing.
